For those of you who have been searching for a lip plumper for a while you’ve probably already heard of the original City Lip Plumper as it has been on the market for quite a while. Now the same company has put out an advanced version of their product that sells for $35.00 per ounce.
City Lip Plumber has a long list of ingredients, perhaps too long for such a small amount of plumper. However, the three ingredients that are supposed to make this product better than the other lip plumpers on the market is their collagen and the oligopetptide technology which is supposed to help your lips manufacture more collagen as well as the special ingredient Cexadrol which is supposed to increase cell turnover and thus help you to have healthier, shiner, less flaky lips with fewer lines as well as help to increase the plumpness of your lips.
City Lip Plumper Does Work Just Not As Well As Promised.
Having searched the reviews it does seem that City lip plumper does work to soften and make lips feel smoother and healthier. Most reviewers did agree that if you used this lip plumper twice a day for 30 days they did at least see a slight plumping of their lips. However, most did not feel that the plumpness was that significant.
Many reviewers also noticed that although the company states that using this lip plumper is not painful that at least initially this product does sting when applied. One or two reviewers even stated that it stung enough that it brought tears to their eyes. However, after repeated use the reviewers stated they no longer noticed the stinging effect.
However, this does not seem to be a product that people with sensitive skin and lips should use. Some reviews mentioned swelling and redness outside the lip line that lasted from several hours to a couple of days.
Pros Of City Lip Plumper
- Moistens lips nicely
- plumper stays on for a lengthy period of time
- users felt that over time their lips did become moist and softer
- Had some plumping effect.
- Not a good product for people with sensitive lips or skin as it can cause redness and even swelling outside the lip line.
- Doesn’t plump the lips as much as claims states it will.
- The advanced formula uses a quote from Good Housekeeping that was published in 2007 and refers to their original formula to sell their advanced formula
- It is extremely expensive.
While City Lip Plumper does seem to provide some plumping to your lips most reviews stated that this plumping was not significant in most cases even after using the product the recommended 30 days. People with sensitive lips and skins found that this product was too harsh for them and many reviews stated that there were other lip plumpers on the market that work just as well or better for a much lower price.
